{ Recap } It's Almost 2018! What

Hi, it's December, where on earth has the time gone? I'm lowkey glad it's the end of the year because HELLO, I am so ready for 2018. But, for now, I have some small changes that I'll be making so let's get to it!

Do you guys remember when I said I'd be doing NaNoWriMo?

Yeah, let's all have a laugh at that, because it lasted a good 4 days! That's a chapter a day for me. So 4 chapters! Not bad. It means I got several words written which is better than no words, and let's be real.

Any words, to me, is better than nothing. That's all I wanted out of this month! Er, last month. And that's what I got soooo, I'm happy with it.

I've also discovered that I hate writing on my computer. I hate it. I like the feeling of a pen in my hands better—I wrote out chapter 4 during a class and I felt so much closer with my main character, like I had finally found her voice!

But yeah, that's the extent of NaNoWriMo for me. Now, for a brief lis of things that made me happy this past month!

♩ I held my first ever giveaway! It actually ends today!
♩ I reached over 900 followers! NINE HUNDRED. Holy hell!
♩ I increased my goal on goodreads to 125, which was my goal last year! Since I'd already finished my original, I wanted to extend it because I was bored tbh and I just wanted to, lmao
♩ I feel like I read a lot of books this month
♩ I spent Thanksgiving with my friend and so much food!
♩ Lemme tell you guys, I looked good. My makeup was FIRE.
♩ At some point, I'd reached over 100 followers on goodreads? Not even sure when this happened, but oh my gosh!
♩ I took some instagram photos I liked!
♩ I actually did get accepted for this book I'd requested! Yaaaay.
♩ I'm going to be part of a few more blog tours in the future!
♩ My pinterest board for cover reveals has over 200 followers (omg!) and almost 3,000 pins! Eeep, that's so exciting.
♩ I got accepted for some of my aniticipated reads over on Netgalley and o m g

Short list! That's partially because I don't remember most of what happened in November, so c'est la vie.

Before I continue to my reads, that little change!

Like I said, it's hardly a big deal, but mostly for me anyway. I won't be doing Top Ten Tuesdays or Swoon Thursdays anymore! The reasoning is because, let's face it, I'M LAZY. I completely forget that it's Tuesday/Thursday and by the time I remember, it's super late, and just ugh. Whatever.

But I'm also stopping because I hate that I don't post reviews often. That's the main reason I wanted to blog, and I only limit them to Mondays and Fridays... and I don't want that. I want to post more original content, which is also the reason I've created the Let's Talk! feature. I'm excited for more of those in the future!

the reads

Novemeber just felt like a better month for me. I think I read a lot and it makes me oh so happy! A lot of the books were ones I liked a lot too, so bonus! And here they are!

Uhhhh. Yeah, nothing this month. Most of them... were ARCs...

recent happenings

I've decided that this section will be a little look into my personal life and what I was up to, other than reading, during the past month.

Music wise: Mmmmmmm, what have I been listening to? Well. Good question.

I've been emo over Fall Out Boy recently. I don't even know why? I just love them so much.

I was also obsessed with Love Stuck by Mother Mother, which I heard in Happy Death Date, a movie I really liked! That, along with Bulletproof by E R I K. I've had them on replay for like two weeks straight, lol.

But now? I think I'm just relaxing with my #1 playlist—all of my favourite catchy songs in one so I don't have to pick and choose. It's been that kinda month, lol.

Netflix/TV wise: I'M CAUGHT UP. Mostly. I mean, I definitely think so. I was tweeting about Crisis on Earth X, which was the latest crossover between all 4 Arrowverse shows on the CW. So, yeah. Caught up. Also with Once Upon a Time! But that's on a mini break for like another week or something? (siiiigh)

Movieish wise, I HAD A MOVIE DATE WITH MY FRIEND DELANEY ON TWITTER. Oh my god, it was SO MUCH FUN. Three movies with cute romances back to back to back! That's Enchanted, then Ella Enchanted, followed by a new favourite of mine: Stardust! THEY WERE ALL SO CUTE. I love them.

Life wise: Uhhh. Semester is almost ending. Insert me waving a little white flag, because I am done, I quit, goodbye all.

Other than that... Well.

I did have Thanksgiving with my friend and it was so much fun! I forgot what exactly we did but we drank Sparkletini, which, unbeknownst to her mom, had alcohol lol. We also had a sip of wine and lemme tell you, it was disgusting. My future hopes of being the cool wine aunt? DASHED, I tell you.

And I think that's pretty much it!

I'll be ending on this note because December doesn't have any anticipated reads for me, and I've already posted my winter TBR!

How was your November? What are you looking forward to in December?
