Being kidnapped by the leader of the fae really puts a dent in your senior year.

Aurora Marshall is sharp, witty, and always has a plan. Ready to finish her business degree and graduate, her life is going smoothly—until the night she meets Tristan Westbrook.

Tristan, the overbearing, gorgeous fae leader, and an admired businessman in the human world, is all kinds of dangerous. While he finds Aurora intriguing, her refusal to bend to his will keeps them locked in a constant power struggle.

Entering into a deal is the only way to escape Tristan’s clutches, which only plunges Aurora deeper into the fae world. With her future at stake, she is forced to handle his arrogance and extraordinary fae abilities as she fights to stay grounded in her mundane life.

Not to mention her struggle to ignore the growing attraction she knows she shouldn’t feel for the man who kidnapped her.

When people said college would be the most exciting time of her life, Aurora never thought this is what they meant.

Twisted Fate was every bit the fun, fae-filled book I had hoped it would be. I practically flew through the pages and it surprised me in more ways than one.

Elliott's writing is both capitivating and fun. Being inside Aurora's head as she dealt with all the changes around her just inexplicably drew me in. Before, Aurora was just another girl hoping to graduate and get her business degree and get a job afterwards. Now? She has to deal with faeries in her world and with the fact that she's not exactly who she thought she was. Aurora was such a fun narrator! She was levelheaded yet fiesty and I absolutely loved her tenacity and loyalty.

I'm not entirely sure why, but I was a bit surprised when Aurora's family was brought into the book. Not that I'm complaining—I loved the addition of her parents, but especially her brother. Every scene the two had together, I found to be precious and endearing and full of heart.

The faeries in Twisted Fate are truly unlike the others I've read about! I'm so used to faeries in another world, looking unearthly but beautiful. It was different to have them be prominent business people in the modern world, someone others know by prestige and whatnot. I mean, it's not like the general public knows that faeries exist, but the fact that they're able to create and maintain successful businesses was definitely interesting. Plus, I thought the whole business-y part of this book added more to it and Aurora's character—she cared about her future and no matter what, she wasn't going to let anyone ruin it, even if that person was a faerie leader.

Twisted Fate hints at a bigger picture for the faeries. Not too much is given in this first instalment and I think Elliott did a fantastic job of doling out information to readers without overwhelming them. Clearly, there's much more to be known and I can't wait to find out!

I really enjoyed the romance! It played a big role in the book and the two—Aurora and Tristan—are constantly battling for power over the other and the banter is just wonderful. I liked how it played out, and with that ending, I'm even more intrigued to see where it goes in Twisted Gift.

Overall, I really enjoyed Twisted Fate! It was a fun novel and easy to lose yourself in!
